REPORT ON FOURTH IRISH INTERNATIONAL
UFO CONFERENCE
22nd/23rd
September, 2007
The FOURTH IRISH
INTERNATIONAL UFO CONFERENCE which took place on the weekend of 22nd/23rd
September, 2007 in the Bush Hotel, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co.Leitrim, was a resounding
success. Everyone there voted it to be the very best ever– and they had said
the same last year! It seems to go from strength to strength – long may that
continue.
MOON RIVER BOAT TRIP -As in previous years our Saturday
evening entertainment took the form of a Boat Trip down the River Shannon aboard
the pleasure cruiser Moon River with on-board buffet organised by Mary and Betty
and music by the well-known Boyle musician Michael Harrington. A novel idea
this year was the release of Chinese lanterns, which we pretended were UFOs and
caused great hilarity as, due to the weather conditions, some failed to rise up
properly and one actually crash landed onto a nearby island – oh! Shades of
Roswell!!! Though this time it really was a balloon!
SATURDAY 22nd
SEPTEMBER – The first Speaker of the day was Wales-based researcher DAVID
COGGINS whose Presentation was entitled “UFO ABDUCTIONS – the REALITY”. He
showed some very interesting videos of people under hypnosis. One particularly
fascinating story was that of a young 13/14 year-old boy, born and brought up in
England who, whilst under hypnosis, went back to when he was a young lad living
in the West of Ireland in the early 1660s and he started to speak in Gaelic.
David later sent this video to the Languages Department of University College
Dublin, who told him that this particular dialect had been traced to a very
specific part of the West to Ireland and that it dated back at least 300 years!!
Next to speak was BREEGE WALSH from Sligo with a Presentation entitled “U as
a UFO”. She showed a DVD presentation, taped last year in Honolulu, Hawaii, by
JZ Knight who maintains that she was first contacted by an alien intelligence in
1977 and claims that through a Being, named Ramtha, she is now able to move her
personality from within her body and to project herself on to the astral plane.
She claims that the key to contacting extraterrestrial intelligence is through
the power of the mind, of consciousness itself.
We then had an amusing
interlude of the “Alien Autopsy” which we also showed last year - this year we
had Nabil Shabeen in person, and he received a standing ovation!!
After lunch
we had ELLIS TAYLOR, whose Presentation was entitled “THE DOOR TO EVERYWHERE”.
Ellis is a very unassuming Australian-born and London-based ‘experiencer’ who
regaled us with many bizarre stories of things that had ‘happened’ to him - like
the time when he was young (in OZ) and he and several of his pals saw what
looked like a helicopter which landed some distance from them and two men
alighted, said hello and asked if they would like a ride? Of course they said
yes, but could not recall what happened next and neither he nor his friends
discussed this at the time nor did they ever mention this again. He also showed
many photographs of strange markings on his body which appeared overnight and
for which he could find no logical explanation.
The last Speaker of the day
was YVONNE SMITH whose Presentation was entitled “CHOSEN? Recollections of UFO
Abductions Through Hypnosis”. Yvonne is the founder of CERO – ‘Close Encounters
Resource Organisation’ a support group which assists abductees to come to terms
with their experiences - such as being shown hybrid human-alien offspring which
they either believe to be their children or are told as much, through telepathy,
by the aliens. Very often they too, have strange marks on their bodies that
they are unable to explain away.
SUNDAY 23RD SEPTEMBER – The first
Speaker of the day was Dr. NORMA MILANOVICH, from America, whose Presentation
was entitled “THE LIGHT WILL SET YOU FREE”. Having previously enjoyed a
glittering career in the science community with work involving stints in
secretive US government establishments, Norma now devotes her time to promoting
world peace and understanding through channelled messages. She channels
Celestial Beings, one of which is the Ascended Master Lord Kuthumi and she read
out a very special message which she said was aimed directly to us, - all of us
present at this Conference - from Lord Kuthumi.
Next to speak was EAMONN ANSBRO, Director of
Kingsland Observatory just outside Boyle, Co.Roscommon. His Presentation was
entitled “SEARCH FOR EXTRATERRESTRIAL VISITATIONS SETV”). He talked about his
involvement with SETV and with the European UFO Survey – one of their projects
which Eamonn has worked on in recent years, is a new camera system that aims to
filter out the glare of fuzzy ‘lights in the sky’, so that the contours of the
object itself can be observed and recorded. He also illustrated just how likely
it is that there is life out there in the Universe, and probably within our own
galactic neighbourhood!
The first Speaker after lunch was JANE McCARTHY from
Wales, whose presentation was entitled “UNDERSTANDING the BIGGER PICTURE and
WHAT IS TO COME”. She spoke in general terms about lines of energy throughout
the environment, not necessarily ‘ley lines’ but tracts of subtle power, an
essence as it were, that runs through certain places. She showed a collection of
very unusual ‘orb’ photographs and footage and gave an example of how
poltergeist activity can sometimes be explained when one learns a little bit
about the background history of the place in question.
The next Speaker was
MALCOLM ROBINSON from England, whose presentation was entitled “ALIEN
PHOTOGRAPHS (alleged Photos of Alien Beings)”. He gave an overview of how,
particularly on television and in the movies – aliens have been presented in the
media as evil beings, hell-bent on global domination or destruction. He showed
images of strange entities that have been passed off as real, one such was the
‘Arctic Alien’, and his advice was - to exercise extreme caution before deciding
upon whether an image is genuine or not, especially in this age of computer
technology, when images can be made to look - what they are not!
The final
Speaker of the day – and of the Conference – was PAOLA HARRIS from America,
whose Presentation was entitled “HOW DOES ONE SPEAK TO A BALL OF LIGHT?” Paola
is an Italian-American investigative reporter and was a friend of Lt. Col.
Philip Corso, of Roswell fame, who claimed that many modern-day high-technology
kits, such as fibre optics for example, were developed by back-engineering
components taken from retrieved extraterrestrial wreckage, and the Roswell
debris in particular.
AND THAT BRINGS US TO THE END OF YET ANOTHER VERY
SUCCESSFUL CONFERENCE
