21st SEPTEMBER 2005
- Eugene reported on 21st
September 2005 as follows
"Last night 20/9/05 between 9pm 10.20pm I saw an
object in the sky over Lough Ree close to Ballykeeran. I watched it for about 30
minutes and tried to analyse what it could be. It did not make any noise and it
was not very high. It changed direction continuously and stayed at a constant
speed. It had bright blue and red lights and was about the size of a large
aircraft. At first I thought it was a plane but what would a plane of this size
be doing hovering in the Midlands at a relatively low altitude for this length
of time? Can this be checked with the Aviation Authority?" Our comment is that
we shall try to contact the appropriate Authority, but I think we know already
what the answer will be!!
19th SEPTEMBER 2005 - Erik reported on 19th
September 2005, as follows
"star like object on western horizon looked like
flashing lights so I checked with my telescope and got it close up, it looked
like a transparent circular tube with a lot of fast flashing lights, blue, red
and white lights. It vanished and appeared several times and seemed to appear
in slightly different places but not far from where it has been last sighted".
Erik does not give any date or location, but as he lives in Longford, the
sighting was probably in that area.
1st SEPTEMBER 2005 -
Ray reported
that on 1st September 05 he saw strange lights in the sky in the
Athlone/Mullingar area. There were two flying objects travelling from east to
west about 4/5 miles away. They then came close together two or three times and
suddenly disappeared. Again on 2nd September he saw lights again, one came
close and was moving back and forth. It was oval shaped. I asked if there was
any disco in the area that could have had laser lights beaming up, but he said
'no'. I then asked if there were any megalith sites in the vicinity and he said
that there was a special hill or 'Fairy Fort' nearby in Tullaghansleek Townland,
nearest village Castletown.
15th AUGUST 2005 - Anna reported to say
that on 15th August 2005 at about 10.30 pm on a very clear night she saw a small
white light appear over Loughcrew Castle. At first it was moving slowly, then it
split into two and moved apart for a while before joining together again. This
sighting lasted for about 10 minutes. She said that although there was a shower
of meteorites seen this particular evening, she was certain that this object was
NOT a meteorite.
2nd MAY 2005 - Jane reported that around the 8th or
9th April 2005 her husband was out around 9 p.m. or so walking the dogs, when he
saw a bright object which attracted his attention and he called to Jane to get
the binoculars. They live in Kesh, which is on the Boyle/Ballymote road, Co.
Roscommon. Through the binoculars they could see that the object had small
clusters of lights, fixed in position "like a ball". They were reddish in
colour and were twinkling rather than flashing. They watched it for about 5
minutes they did not see it vanish, but got tired of watching it and they
eventually "left them at it" and went indoors. These lights were over
Carrowkeel which is a well-known megalith site in the Bricklieve mountains of
Co. Sligo that has many Passage Graves and where lights have often been seen,
which is not surprising seeing that it dates back some 6000 years! In fact Jane
also said that she has seen "lots of lights" over Carrowkeel about 9 or 10 years
ago.
2nd MAY 2005 - On 2nd May this year I went out in a boat on Lough
Key, Boyle, Co. Roscommon, with my two colleagues, Carl Nally and Dermot Butler
both from UPRI (UFO Paranormal Research Ireland) and we headed for Church
Island. (See sighting for Jan 1st 2005). I had just bought a new digital camera
and gave it to Carl for him to shoot away. It was a drizzly morning, around
10.30 am, and he was clicking away madly. We saw nothing at the time but when
the film was processed through the computer a big white light appeared in the
same spot as the one that was seen on New Year's Day. We just could not believe
it, and I really think that there MUST be a portal there!!

13th or 14th MARCH 2005 - Michael reported
to say that around the 13th/14th March this year he was looking up at a clear
night sky, which was full of stars. Above the Great Bear, also known as the Big
Dipper, or The Plough, he saw three stars which stood out from the others. They
were in a triangular configuration and he noticed that they were moving
together. Michael says he is used to seeing satellites looking like stars
moving across the sky, but 'never 3 in the same direction and at the same
brightness'. They did not move too fast but went at a reasonably slow pace,
always keeping the same distance from each other. Unfortunately the triangle
did not pass through a star, as then he could have seen whether it was solid or
not. This was in the Ennis area of Co. Clare.
March 2005 - William
reported that in March 2005 he was driving in the Callan, Co. Tipperary area,
when he saw what looked like a bright star, which then came down low and kept
following him he observed it for about 15 minutes and said it was "bigger than
a car".
3rd APRIL 2005 - Joe reported a very strange incident that
happened to him on the night of Sunday April 3rd 2005. At around 10 p.m. he
went out into the garden for a breath of fresh air when he felt that there were
some 'things' flying above his head, about 100-150 ft. up. They were moving
very fast and as he looked up he could see that some of the stars were blacked
out. What particularly attracted his attention was the sound that they made he
described it as a sort of 'squeaky, reptilian sound', and it definitely did not
come from a bird or a bat. Joe felt that there was something distinctly odd
about the whole incident his 'gut' feeling was that they were ET's and that
they were not in a craft. Unfortunately at this point the bright security light
at the front of the house came on and 'they' were lost in the glare. Joe lives
in the Longford area.
31st JANUARY 2005 - Paul reported that sometime
either on the 30th/31st January he saw 4 or 5 UFOs between the Jolly Mariner and
the Dual Carriageway new bridge over the River Shannon near Athlone, Co.
Westmeath. In his subsequent written report he goes on to say
"at
approximately 10 or half past 10 I first became aware looking out my window of a
strange light moving in slow manner, I thought nothing of it at first. About 1
hour later I went to close my window when I saw what seemed to be the reflection
of an enormous fire (as bright as 4 big bonfires) on the houses in the not too
far distance, the trees in the area closer to the light were also becoming
increasingly more visible as the light began to intensify. It lit up half of the
sky this object had to be on the ground or water for the light to cause such
an effect on the surrounding environment. Then all of a sudden 3 or 4 objects
appeared what seemed to be out of thin air, they were not stationary when they
appeared, they were already in motion, it seemed as if these objects were coming
from some other place (that's why I said when they became visible they were
already in motion). The brightness of the light which would have drawn my
attention at first to the one which would have definitely been on the ground
on land or water - the light had brightness relative to when you burn strips of
magnesium intensely bright the 3 or 4 objects above the one on the ground or
water were like flames of fire. They were not just disappearing they
slightly faded, before you could not see them - they were moving in and out of
something, not detected by human eyes or human technology. I mentioned on the
phone that I had an experience before, walking out the road at night when I saw
an object about 1000 feet up in the sky moving in and out at a speed that no
airplane could manoeuvre so brilliantly, it went left to right, left right, then
extremely far right straight at a speed of about it had to be thousands, I
can't say exactly, it went so fast. Exactly a week later I was with my friends,
we all saw the same orange coloured object. I did not mention on the phone an
incident which happened in 1997 or 98 I have just recalled it a similar
incident, my friends were with me on both these occasions. It was at night, we
all saw a big orange flash go across the sky, but we did not see an object only
the reflection of it off the clouds because it was a cloud filled night sky.
Exactly a week later the same thing happened, same time, same place, it was also
a cloudy night."
1st JANUARY 2005 - On New Year's Day 2005 a Charity
Swim was organisedat Lough Key, which is part of Lough Key Forest Park just
outside Boyle, Co. Roscommon. A friend of mine braved the weather and plunged
in, her brother meantime was busying himself with his camera and after
photographing his sister in the water turned his attention to Church Island
which is about 500 metres away in the background. He wanted the picture to use
as a screen saver for his computer. It was an overcast, dull day. When he went
to download the picture to his computer he saw to his surprise a white light in
the centre. He had not noticed this at the time of taking the photograph. This
I found amazing, as judging from the height of the trees, which are 20/30ft.
high, the light must be 10ft or more in diameter. No one else saw the light
either. This was at 1.30 in the afternoon. At first he thought that there
might be some defect in the camera and he would have been very surprised if
there was, as it was a very new camera, and an expensive one at that. No
similar light showed up on any other photograph. He and sister discussed it to
see if they could some up with any answer, and decided to show the photograph to
me. We met, and went through all the probabilities and/or possibilities could
it have been a fireball or lightning flash? It was too low for that. We decided
then that the only thing it could be is a UFO, particularly in view of the fact
that UFOs have been seen in the vicinity before on 14th December 1997 four
lads who were out in a boat in another part of the lake saw four balls of light
skimming across the water and on 14th December 1998 I and a group of friends
were on the top of the Moylurg Tower, which is a lookout tower in Lough Key
Forest Park when we saw a very bright light which flashed colours, red, blue and
green and then suddenly disappeared. On both these occasions we were in the Park
on foot of Predictions. Just before we parted that evening PJ turned to me
and said "There is a portal there". I thought about this strange remark later
that night when I got home, and asked my trusty pendulum whether there was in
fact a portal there, and it said 'YES' I also asked whether the light was in
fact a UFO and the answer was again 'YES'. I also asked whether the light was on
the Island and the answer was 'NO', and also found out that the light was 20
feet in front of the island. It is interesting to note that there are some very
ancient ruins of a church on the island, hence the name. When I later had
time to examine the picture closely, also the enhancement that PJ had made, I
could make out a darkish shape in the centre which leads me to surmise that
there could be some sort of craft in the centre which was emitting the white
light around it. Perhaps you can see it yourself.
